What This Site Is
tirads-calculator.com/ is an independent educational resource focused on one clinical tool done well: the ACR TI-RADS thyroid nodule risk stratification system. We built a fast, accurate, mobile-friendly calculator and paired it with plain-language guides, a complete scoring chart, and visual examples of every ultrasound feature.
Who It Is For
Radiologists and residents who want a quick, reliable scoring reference during reporting. Sonographers documenting nodule features during exams. And patients trying to understand what TR3 or TR4 on their ultrasound report actually means.
We write for both audiences at once — clinical precision where it matters, plain language where it helps — because we believe understanding your own medical results should not require a radiology degree.
What We Stand For
Accuracy. Every scoring value, risk percentage, and management threshold on this site traces to the ACR TI-RADS 2017 white paper. We document our source and our interpretation transparently.
Independence. This site is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the American College of Radiology. We reference their published system for educational purposes. Advertising never influences clinical content.
The line between education and advice. We take this seriously. Our calculator is a reference tool, not a diagnosis. We say so clearly, on every page, because that distinction matters in medicine. Read our full Medical Disclaimer and Editorial Policy.
The Calculator
The TI-RADS calculator runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you enter is transmitted, stored, or logged. You select the five ultrasound features, enter the nodule size, and get the TR category, estimated malignancy risk, and size-based FNA or follow-up recommendation instantly — with a copyable clinical report.
